As of October 1, 2024, the application fees for New Zealand’s student and post-study work visas have been significantly increased:

• Student Visa: The application fee has doubled, rising from NZD 375 to NZD 750.
• Post-Study Work Visa: The fee has also increased, going from NZD 700 to NZD 1,670.

These changes are aimed at making New Zealand’s immigration system more sustainable, reducing the financial burden on taxpayers by shifting more of the cost to those using the system.

While the fee increases affect most applicants, students from Pacific countries will continue to benefit from subsidized fees as part of New Zealand’s ongoing support for the Pacific region.
