New Zealand Customs - Customs New Zealand
Customs NZ - New Zealand Customs
New Zealand is fully dedicated to protecting its agricultural environment and economy. New Zealand works hard to preserve its unique plants and animals, this is why New Zealand is free of many plant and animal diseases and pests that are common in other parts of the world.
When you enter New Zealand, you are required to declare all animal and plant materials that you carry with you. You are required to fill in the 'Agriculture and Customs Declaration' upon arrival. It is vital for you to declare any restricted items that you carry, if in doubt you should either declare the items or place the items in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) bins found at Customs. If you fail to declare restricted items or if you provide false declarations, you will be fined and may even be jailed.
