Awatapu College

Awatapu College

Located north of Wellington in the city of Palmerston North is Awatapu College, with approximately 750 students. Its young flair owes its city to its numerous educational facilities, in which students from all over the world attend and study courses.

Awatapu teaches grades 9-13 and places special emphasis on the individual needs of its students. The excellent library, various sports venues, computer and science spaces give students many opportunities to develop according to their own goals and strengths.

For its 30 international students, the college employs a full-time support officer who ensures the full integration of foreign students. The support officer not only works very closely with the students but also with the host families and the school. Students are made to feel at home in spite of the distance to their home country.
